Utah Loan Forgiveness Programs
Note: While these programs legally exist, it appears the Utah State Legislature has not funded them...
Program: Rural Physician Loan Repayment Program (RPLRP)
Amount: $15,000 per year, minimum of 2 year commitment
Description: The Rural Physician Loan Repayment Program (RPLRP) exists to provide education loan repayment assistance to physicians who contract to work in a rural hospital for a minimum of two years of service.

Program: Health Care Workforce Financial Assistance Program (HCWFAP)
Amount: Note - this program was not funded for 2023
Description: The Health Care Workforce Financial Assistance Program (HCWFAP) exists to provide educational loan repayment assistance to healthcare professionals who locate or continue to practice in underserved areas.
Future participation in the program will require sites to be located inside of a Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA). Please see the following website to determine if your site will meet this requirement
