I think you’re mixing up tuition and total costs. Tuition is “only” $53,100 for 2024 – 2025. Tuition is also really the only thing you can compare apples to apples.

And unless the student grew up in poverty you aren’t getting needs based aid either. My daughter goes to Barnard and the last bill I paid was $45k, for next semester. $350k/yr for college isn’t sustainable. I’ll support my kids till the end of time but this system is broken.
