I have tried to see if my loan could be forgiven. I kept and still get the run around. About 4 years ago my husband and I did our taxes and the student loan took all our money. We did the injured spouse form and got the money back. I started a payment plan with the collection agency. Then one day it stopped taking money from my bank. A few months later it was erased from my credit report. The following year we did our taxes and it wasn’t garnish The following year it was garnish. When we went to check if any of us had an offset it said we didnt. We file the injured spouse but the collection was able to keep $2,499. We moved from Delaware to Arizona. So Arizona law is different. Again this year we checked the IRS website to see if any one had an offset and it say no. There is nothing on my credit report. Once again our taxes was taken. I called the number that is provided and its a new company I gave them my information and I received a bill with almost $2000 in interested. How is that possible? Can I find out how much the collection agency purchase my loan for? What happen to the $2499 they took last year? I can’t seem to get an answer.

It usually takes about 90-120 days to show up – given it’s only October and you likely started in August or September, you need to wait a little longer for it to show up on the NSLDS.
