In reply to Shawn. Consider that one of the lawsuits seeking to block the President's broad student loan forgiveness plan was by a plaintiff in Indiana whose argument was that the President's forgiveness was taxable in Indiana while PSLF is not (the plaintiff was seeking PSLF).

This is all very confusing honestly but can you tell me in regard to PSLF does Indiana charge state tax on what is forgiven? I have read other information that said they do but your article reads as if they do not. Can you clarify? Thank you

Can you tell me if loans cancelled due to Sweet vs Cardona being approved will be taxable in NC? I am a class member and had my borrower defense application submitted since 2021. I am not sure now this will be treated in NC. Thanks!

For Virginia, past 2025, will PSLF forgiveness be taxed. I’m currently due for forgiveness in 2027.
