While that’s annoying, it’s extremely common to have this happen with partnerships – especially real estate ones. You get your K-1 only AFTER they file their corporate tax return. So, if they had to extend to file that, then you’re waiting for your K-1. If it happens over and over again, it can be a sign of poor management practices.
