In reply to Chris. I Uber and ALWAYS tip my driver personally not thru the app. My rides are $10 and tipping $5 is nothing to me. Everybody has to make a living. IMO

Well as a customer Lyft is awful. The app is worthless. The family plan doesnt work and apparently their system doesnt comprehend where Vdara Resort is by address or name. I use Lyft for Hilton points but have now download Uber app and plan start using that the rest of trip. I clearly will never chose them as part of my portfolio. Hoping Uber has it together.

I’ve been using Uber in Tucson, Arizona because of my handicap these past 4 years. I’m 80 and use a walker. Today I had my only bad Uber experience. My Uber driver arrived late, ran over my wife’s corner garden, destroyed its brick-concrete edging, gave me and my neighbor the finger, and drove away. I complained to pre-recorded Ubers robot, which apologized and noted that Uber is not responsible for damages it caused to my property.

I have been an Uber driver for about 4 years and I have achieved a diamond driver status. In the last months Uber has drastically cut driver income by a lot. The amount we make per trip is insulting to what we made a few months ago. I never considered driving for another company(Lyft) until now.

I drive for Uber in the Quad City Area (Iowa/Illinois border off of I-80) and I would guesstimate maybe only 10% or so of the people leave a tip, and the ones that do it’s usually nothing to write home about. 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, for a service that’s so desperately needed in the area, and to be lucky to make 500$ a week… It’s pathetic how people have gotten away from tipping the service industry.
