Chase is still FDIC Insured up to the limits (and has always been, just like every other bank). Over a decade ago they opted out of providing extra insurance on funds over the limit (currently $250,000 per account). So, if you have more than $250,000 in your account, your extra money isn’t covered by FDIC insurance and you might want to consider other options, like spreading funds across multiple banks. See the FDIC insurance rules.
