Health Equity also have $3.95 fee for monthly maintainence and $10 for investment account at 0.03%. Please do your research as it is misguiding people unless I am missing something. I have health equity account for HSA

In reply to Tim Smith. You assign a beneficiary. If the beneficiary is a surviving spoouse, no taxes and nothing really happens. If it's a non-spouse, the beneficiary has one year to use the funds to pay for any of the original owner's medical expenses tax-free, then it becomes their money (and they do pay tax on it).
