I don’t agree with author. Stash is not a good exchange. So many hides trick to catch a new investors. and hold his money. At the time to open account money from my bank showing in second. But instead going to personal portfolio or to the Stash bank , money showing at smart portfolio. At smart portfollo you can’t do nothing because total control have Stash management not you. Second, deposit isn’t going so fast , you have to wait at list three business days. This is painful time because you can’t play with stock with momentum and when your money are clear then is to late. Next. Stash don’t have live L2 . So, is worthless for day traders or even bag holders they don’t know how high is bid or ask. Support is a far away from professional knowledge about stock market or strategies to trade. Stash don’t have live data with time of last buy or sale. Conclusion. Compare to Robinhood or Webull , Stash is worthless if somebody like to trade for quick profit. At the time of deposit funds you getting message that your fund will be ready to buy stoc on a few min. This is not truth . Instead of that e-mail informing you that your deposit will be ready in three business days. I’ve open my account today and waiting for my money to be clear , withdraw and close account .

You can either sell and withdrawal the cash (and face tax losses), or transfer your positions over to an existing brokerage firm (you may pay an exit fee).

I know it’s not worth it for how I use the platform. I want to sell (stocks only – no IRAor other services) and get out but the portfolio value is down in current climate. Wondering if I have any other options… advice?

I have an etrade and td account too. Invested only in Ecommerce and tech stock (amazon, google, microsoft, etc). Due to the pandemic and everyone using computers and buying online… the stock did really well. Didnt lose anything.
