Navigating the college admissions process can be challenging. Not only do students need to maintain good grades, they need to earn competitive scores on their college entrance exams, choose the right mix of extracurriculars, write compelling essays, and more.

It’s possible for students to do all of this on their own, but the assistance of a knowledgeable guide could increase their chances of success.
Command Education offers a comprehensive college preparation experience, including help with everything from tutoring to college essay writing.

In this Command Education review, we'll let you know how the platform works and whether it's worth considering.

What Is Command Education?

Command Education offers extensive college consulting services. The company promises a comprehensive mentorship experience. Christopher Rim, founder and CEO, is passionate about helping students achieve their college admissions goals. As a recent Yale graduate, the founder understands the challenges of the college admissions process and uses this knowledge to improve the success rates for mentored students.

What Does It Offer?

Command Education offers a wide range of college admissions services, including mentorship packages, a college application booster, tutoring, test prep, and more. Here is a closer look at what's available.

Premier Roadmap Package

The Premier Roadmap package is a mentorship program designed for students aged 13 to 16. Command Education works with younger students, as early as the seventh grade, to set themselves up for success in their future college aspirations.

The company matches your student with a mentor who meets their interests, needs, and learning styles. It’s an comprehensive package that includes help with standardized tests, homework, and coursework. The program goes beyond traditional tutoring to offer assistance in building out aspirational extracurriculars, like opening a non-profit or snagging an amazing summer internship.

Within just four sessions, students report an 80% drop in college anxiety. And the company is also there to help your student throughout the entire journey to college.

Premier Senior Package

High school seniors can prepare for college with Command Education. This is another unlimited package built to help students with coursework, standardized test prep, and homework.

The mentorship program also offers assistance with the college admissions process. For example, Command Education will help students select a balanced college list, write a standout college application essay, and make tweaks to their college application to help improve their chances of admission.

College Application Booster

A multi-year or months-long program might not be the right fit for every student. Command Education also offers a College Application Booster, which is a multi-day program online to help students improve their application.

Tutoring and Test Prep

Students can find tutoring and test prep support through Command Education. Whether you need help with a specific subject or want help to improve your standardized test scores, Command Education is prepared to support your needs.

In terms of SAT and ACT test prep, you’ll receive one-on-one private tutoring via Zoom. The tutoring team will set up a customized approach to help you improve your test scores.

Tutoring on specific subject matters is very similar. You’ll have access to live online tutoring sessions, which can help you master the topics you need to earn the grades you’ll need to get into top colleges.

Global Support

Command Education works with students from all around the world, by providing its online services to students everywhere.

Are There Any Fees?

Command Education's are very expensive. Unfortunately, the company doesn’t advertise exact prices on its website. Instead, you’ll have to commit to a free consultation to determine prices for the package that suits your student’s situation.

While exact prices aren’t published, the founder of the company gave an interview which highlighted the fact that families often pay over $500,000 or $750,000 for Command Education’s services.

How Does Command Education Compare?

Command Education isn’t the only company offering college preparation services. Here’s how it stacks up.

Prep Expert offers tutoring, standardized test prep, and admissions counseling. You can tap into all access passes for between $5,000 to $25,000. The company also offers a guarantee of improved test scores by at least 200 points or an additional $10,000 in scholarship funds. Overall, Prep Expert is a more affordable option than Command Education.

Prepory offers college admissions consulting. Through the program, a coach can help you beef up your college application. You can purchase a package starting at $4,900 or opt for an hourly plan at $325 per hour.

How Do I Open An Account?

If you want to work with Command Education, the first step is to explore the services offered on its website. When you are ready, you can set up a free consultation with the company. In that consultation the company will help you explore the services offered and provide pricing guidance.

If you like what the company has to offer, you can finalize the relationship by joining the program.

How Do I Contact Command Education?

If you want to contact Command Education, you can email info@commandeducation.com or call 212-368-1000. With only two customer reviews on Trustpilot, it’s difficult to know what kind of experience to expect with the company.

Is It Worth It?

Command Education has a good track record of helping students achieve their college admissions goals. According to the company, 94% of students were accepted into one of their top three school choices in the last five years. That’s an impressive number.

But the support comes with a big price tag. Many families simply cannot afford the cost of this program, and that’s okay! While Command Education might be worth it for some, it’s not the only way to get support during the college admissions process.
