I graduated from Strayer with Bachelor and Master degrees. Yes I racked up a huge student loan debt that is taking forever to payoff; however, I got a great education and have made a very nice 6-figure income starting around 2-3 years after I graduated.

Now is as good a time as any to take action on your loans. First, you need to know what you owe.

Find your Federal loans at StudentAid.gov. Find your private loans by checking your credit report. See this guide: How To Find Your Loans.

Once you know where your loans are and what type, you can potentially take action. For your federal loans, you file a borrower defense claim as outlines above. For private loans, there may not be many options. That’s why you need to know what you have.
